Mount Kilimanjaro Day 6 – Karaga Camp to Barafu Camp (3995m-4600m)
This was our last hike before the big push to the summit. The landscape was completely barren and steep just moments after we left camp and continued like this from here on out.
The right shoulder strap of the pack wasn’t feeling great. Instead of fixing it, we decided not to use it the rest of the hike and put all the strain on the left. The altitude was obviously slowly winning at this point.
Looking back all you could see was a small trail line in the ash, which was the only proof people were up there.
Right to bed when we reached camp. We started our summit attempt at midnight!
