What our crew can do for you:

GRANT WRITING

Our executive director, and over a dozen of our crew, are quite versed in the skills needed to assist any organization in finding, writing, and fulfilling grants.

IMPOSSIBLE PROBLEM SOLVING

Whether you need a solution to a seemingly impossible problem, or just a gatekeeper in the way, we can show you the treasure map to (re)mediation.

CONSENSUS BUILDING & COMMUNITY FORUMS

Everyone can and should win from the outcomes of your concept. Let us teach you how to create those conversations around your project.

STORYTELLING

Captain Ahab’s ongoing tale has been shared with tens of thousands of individuals throughout our travels and on stages around the world. Let us share our interactive multi-generational story with your university, business, USO outpost, or social club to enhance your next event and motivate your community.

LOW-HEAD DAM MODIFICATION

Low-head dams are a very outdated Band-Aid of our past, along with any watershed group that doesn’t fully support the exponential benefits of modifying them. Let us educate you on what whitewater engineers have successfully been doing for decades all over the world, how it could evolve a low-head dam your town into a self-sustaining economic driver for your community, when to start the conversation with your regional USACE representative, and most importantly, where the funding comes from.

A special cheers to the Iowa River Revival for their very inspiring and empowering booklet, which helped us navigate the creation of one of our large-scale watershed concepts.

LAND & HARDSCAPING

Ranging from large-scale Trails for All compliant design and installation services to small-scale (large-impact) community cleanups of parks and backyards, our crew specializes in the future of micro-terraforming on any scale.

What has been said about our methods and leadership:

From the day I met Geeg, it was clear he was a dedicated advocate for both the short
and long term interests of the North Adams community. Our mission alignment was
instantaneous, and I quickly learned that this was more than just a vision for Geeg, but rather an
actionable plan demonstrated by his daily commitment to build consensus across the building’s
many stakeholders and end‐users. This is a strategy MASS has deployed successfully in the
transformation of existing infrastructural assets in Poughkeepsie, NY and I believe in Geeg’s
ability to accomplish this for any other similar community‐based projects and partnerships.
Geeg has demonstrated his ability not only as a leader, but as a doer as well. He is just
as comfortable and competent speaking with investors and politicians as he is doing the more
humble daily work necessary to push his cause forward. For example, at the same time he was
overseeing all the higher order approval processes surrounding the TEDx event, he was
coaching me on a weekly basis on the minutia of my presentation. I have no doubt that he will
be thoroughly and enthusiastically committed to your organizations mission as it is identical to
his own, only deployed in a slightly different context.

Justin Brown – AIA, LEED AP Principal at MASS Design Group

Over the past 15 years I have had the pleasure of knowing Geeg and watching him
grow into a tremendous asset to the Northern Berkshire area. Geeg has a deep passion for
service and jumps into projects volunteering his skillset, always yielding positive results.
It has been clear to me, for some time now, that Geeg has the knowledge and acumen
to move any organization forward because of his unique way of creating new opportunities and
partnerships. He is able to survey local and state landscapes, identify the underlying grit of the
people, and weave them all together to work toward bigger picture goals. It sounds too good to
be true, but then he introduces you to that gnome of his and there is no looking back.

David Bond – Former North Adams City Councilor

I have known Geeg for many years and am struck with his commitment for seeing a
project through. He has been involved in several local initiatives, most notably the proof of
concept, planning, and advocacy for the renovation of the Mohawk Theater. In all the time I
have known him, he has never said no to a request for assistance. He is inclusive in his
planning and participation and has brought others into his efforts knowing that it takes many
people and their ideas to bring out the best in every project.
More than that, he has such a work ethic, he seems to work nonstop on everything he
does. Once involved with a project, he throws himself into it with zeal and energy. He is
methodical and works to build consensus on each endeavor. If your organization requires someone
who can strike a balance between taking direction and giving it. This has been Geeg’s method
for achieving such success in the community regardless of a projects outcome. He will build the
relationships you need and expand existing ones.
